Warrant Officer One Allen E. Jennings was born on 10 September 1952 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He served at Fort Rucker, Alabama, before arriving at Task Force 160 at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, as a pilot for Charlie Company, 158th Aviation Battalion.

WO1 Jennings died on 26 August 1983 during a test flight when the UH-60A Black Hawk helicopter, #993, he was aboard crashed near Christian County, Kentucky.

WO1 Jennings is survived by his wife Linda; and his daughters, Desiree and Dawn. He is laid to rest in Bluff Creek, Louisiana, at South Union Cemetery.
