Duane W. Albro, 1949-2025

Decorated Vietnam combat veteran. Silver Star and Bronze Star recipient. Night Stalker Foundation executive board member. From lineman to chairman of the board, Duane built a life defined by  service to his country, to his fellow veterans, and to every family this foundation supports. His legacy lives on through the Duane W. Albro Memorial Scholarship.

Our board members bring decades of military, business, and philanthropic leadership to guide the Night Stalker Foundation's mission. Together, they ensure we deliver impactful programs and preserve the legacy of the 160th SOAR(A).

Bill Golden

Chairman

Bill Golden is the Global Head of Anti-Money Laundering Client Onboarding and Global Markets Client Onboarding at Bank of America. His team spans five continents. Bill is a retired Army officer who served 12 years in Special Operations Aviation, including command of 3/160th SOAR(A).

Rick Nelson

Board Member

Rick Nelson is a Senior Vice President, Wealth Management Advisor, and Portfolio Manager at Merrill Lynch. He is the founding member of the Nelson Remey Group and co-owns multiple Jersey Mike's franchises with his family in Fort Worth, Texas. Rick serves on the Night Stalker Foundation Advisory Board.

Christian Walters

Board Member

Christian Walters is an executive in the electric mobility industry, currently leading the commercial team at Re:Car, Inc. Previously he held global executive roles at Rivian Automotive and Harley-Davidson. Christian served as a fully mission-qualified AH-6 "Little Bird" pilot with the 1st Battalion, 160th SOAR(A).

William Reed

Board Member

William Reed is the President and CEO of Castleton Commodities International LLC. Previously he was the founding partner and head of trading for Saracen Energy Advisors, growing the fund from $30 million to $1.4 billion. William is proud to have served as a non-commissioned officer with the 160th SOAR(A).

MyLinh Shattan

Board Member

MyLinh Shattan is a writer and educator who hosts and produces the TreeHouseLetter, a website and podcast offering insights on literature, education, and the military. She served as an Army officer and is a West Point graduate. Her father was rescued by helicopter from the U.S. Embassy during the Fall of Saigon.

Peter Rogal

Board Member

Peter Rogal has over 43 years of experience in defense electronics and medical devices as a C-level executive and serial entrepreneur. He is CEO of Gold Circuit Electronics Global Sales and Services LLC. Peter is actively involved in charities that promote the welfare of veterans and their families.

Bob Witzler

Board Member

Chief Warrant Officer 5 (Retired) Bob Witzler is a native of Perrysburg, Ohio. He entered the Army in April 1982, and after completing Basic Training and Infantry Advanced Individual Training at Fort Benning, Ga., was assigned to an 81mm mortar crew with B Company, 1-148th Infantry, Ohio National Guard.

Gregory Chambers

Board Member

Greg Chambers is a native of Yakima, Washington. He served 35 years in the U.S. Army, with more than 20 of those in the 160th SOAR(A) and Army Special Operations Aviation Command. His career focused on aviation maintenance, flight training, and senior enlisted personnel management.

Angel Gonzalez

Founding Director

Angel Gonzalez is a Co-Founder of the Night Stalker Foundation. He served with the 160th SOAR(A) as an Aviation Maintenance Officer from 1988 until his retirement as the Regimental Aviation Maintenance Officer in 2003. He continued supporting the Regiment as a civilian until 2022.

Gayle Gonzalez

Secretary

Gayle Gonzalez is a Co-Founder of the Night Stalker Foundation. She joined the U.S. Army in 1977, serving as a Helicopter Powertrain Repairer with the 101st Airborne Division and 25th Infantry Division. In 2007, she helped stand up the NSF and currently serves as Scholarship Coordinator.

Craig Kuphall

Treasurer

Craig Kuphall is originally from Wisconsin. An Army Aviation officer and AH-64D Apache pilot, Craig deployed to Afghanistan twice before joining the 160th SOAR in 2014 to fly the MH-6M Little Bird. He holds an MBA from Vanderbilt and founded Axon Defense Systems.

Our Staff

The Night Stalker Foundation's staff works directly with 160th SOAR(A) families every day. From coordinating scholarship programs to connecting families with critical resources, this team ensures no Night Stalker family faces hardship alone.

Brian Supko

Executive Director

Brian Supko is a native of Quantico, Virginia. He graduated from West Point in 1999 and commissioned as an Aviation officer. After flight school and an assignment in Germany, Brian assessed for and received an assignment to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, where he served from 2004 to 2013.

Katie Palenzuela

SOAR Family Collaborative Director

Katie Palenzuela is a Florida native who earned her Master of Science from East Carolina University. For 18 years she has served military families as a speech-language pathologist in military communities across the country. She is a certified life coach, Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, and graduate of the Military Spouse Leadership Development Program.

Morgan Floro

SOAR Family Collaborative Liaison

Morgan Floro is a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina. She brings over 14 years of nonprofit experience, with eight of those in local outreach and foreign missions. A Night Stalker spouse and mother of three, she understands firsthand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with military life.

Brittney Jasien

SOAR Family Collaborative Liaison

Brittney Jasien is from Northern Virginia, earning her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and her nursing degree from NYU. She has worked as an Operating Room Nurse since 2014. A current Night Stalker spouse and Company FRG leader, she brings experience organizing events and supporting military families.

Tina Englen

Administrative Manager

Tina Englen has spent more than 30 years as part of the 160th SOAR(A) family. As the spouse of CW5 (Ret.) Doug Englen, she has firsthand experience with the demands placed on Night Stalker families through decades of deployments, relocations, and the daily realities of special operations life.

Megan Monroe

Bookkeeper

Megan Monroe earned her BBA in Marketing from the University of Toledo and an MBA from Olivet Nazarene University. With a decade of experience in financial management, she currently serves as CFO for a construction company and supports the Night Stalker Foundation as its Bookkeeper.

Jonathan Worthington

Winter 2026 Intern

Jonathan Worthington is a finance student at the University of Central Florida. He holds leadership roles in finance organizations on campus and is interested in pursuing a career in wealth management and asset management.
