Gayle Gonzalez

Secretary

Gayle joined the U.S. Army in 1977 and completed Basic Training at Fort McClellan, Alabama. She graduated from Advanced Individual Training in 1978 as a Helicopter Powertrain Repairer. Gayle was assigned to serve with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell. She was subsequently assigned to serve with the 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii and promoted to Sergeant. A short time after marrying her husband Angel, she left the Army.

In 2007, Gayle and two other NCOs and two Warrant Officers stood up the NSF and became the original Founders of the Night Stalker Foundation Board. Gayle has been a Board member, Secretary, financial trustee, and scholarship committee member. She is currently the Scholarship Coordinator.

Gayle, along with the NSF Board members, updated scholarship applications, reviewed completed applications and got them ready for grading. After the applications were scored, she wrote the checks to the schools and chased down students who had changed schools without updating their information with the NSF.

Gayle has been married to Angel Gonzalez since 1981. They have three grown children, two girls and a boy.
