Steve Dwyer Sr

Colonel (Retired)

Retired Colonel Steve Dwyer has had a job since the 5th grade when he was a paperboy for the Philadelphia Inquirer and has held a steady job since then. Currently he serves as a Senior Vice President for Coaching and Team Solutions at Teamalytics.

A 1980 West Point graduate, Steve retired from the U.S. Army after 30 years of service, which included aviation commands at the company, battalion and brigade level. After his retirement from the Army, Steve served as a senior vice president for leadership development with Alltel Corporation in Little Rock, AR; the vice-president for human resources for Science and Engineering Services in Huntsville, AL; and the Chief Learning Officer for DynCorp International in Falls Church, VA.

Steve has been married to his wife Gail, a 1981 West Point graduate and the love of his life, for 45 years, this May. They have four children, two of whom are West Point graduates (2009 and 2011). They are the proud grandparents of ten.

Losing his oldest son, Steve, Jr., West Point '09, in an Army Aviation accident in November 2023, has shattered his heart. Committed to ensuring Steve's legacy is kept alive, he is proud to serve on the board of the DWYERFIRE GOLDSTAR Foundation to honor his son and support Gold Star Children. Additionally, Steve serves on the board of the Task Force Foundation and the Army Aviation Museum Foundation.
